Jack, its not about what the iPad 2 can do that your laptop can't. Your laptop can pretty much
do anything that the ipad 2 can. An iPad is not a replacement for your laptop or desktop. That being said, I have a laptop and a desktop at home and I really haven't used either one since getting my iPad 2. I consume all of my media needs on my iPad, watching videos, movies, listening to music, reading books, playing games and catching up on the news all from my iPad 2. I also create content, doing all of my word processing and blogging on it among other things. I also keep in touch with family and friends through facebook and twitter, and manage all my pictures on it. From a cold start it boots up in less than 20 seconds and has over a 10 hour battery life, try doing that with a laptop. Also, it is much more portable than a laptop. The last thing I want to be doing is lugging around a laptop, when I can just throw my iPad 2 in my bag and go. Couple the iPad 2 with a bluetooth Keyboard case such as the one from MIC gadgets, and you are laughing.
