iPhone 4s and iCloud

Overall, a solid attempt

Arguably the most widely renowned piece of technology in the world is Apple’s own iPhone. It has received lots of scrutiny from opponents in the mobile phone market that claim a high price, or bad business decisions, as reasons not to go for this smart phone. The truth is… the iPhone is the most advanced and user-friendly piece of technology that we have seen to date. Personally I cannot think of a more sophisticated and yet mass produced item. On this same level of modernism would be the creation of a personal computer, laptop, or even something as simple as portable audio devices. This all goes to show that Apple’s newest version of the iPhone, dubbed the 4s because of its slight improvements over the 4 yet no large scale changes which will inevitably come with the 5, is going to be a real winner and will impress the customers to the point of becoming a multi-million quantity selling phone.

Some of the largest improvements that are seen on the hardware side of the 4s are its improved processor, camera, atenna, and the ability to tune into your favorite radio station has also been added. Firstly, the processor is just a newer and therefore better chip that is classified as the A5 that seems fitting as the last one was named the A4. When it comes to the internal hardware as you can see there have not been many different changes but that begs the question, was there any need for an improved internal system anyway? Next up is the camera that is one of my personal favorite features. They have included an improved and stunning lens, which takes full 1080p video and photos as opposed to the 720p we saw in last year’s iPhone 4. Overall, a solid attempt and a really great phone has been updated with the latest technology to keep its reign as what I would call the best smart phone on the market.

Some of the other great features that came out with the release of the iPhone 4s are the new iOS 5, and iCloud. For the longest time I was searching for a service that could keep all of my tech devices synced with each other. I dabbled in Mobileme and other services like dropbox that can back up your files to an online server but nothing really worked as well as I hoped, until I found iCloud. It looks like iCloud is now the king of the music, video, and other file syncing services around and will be able to keep your iTunes perfectly synced with your iPods and iPhones. I expect this service to work great and really redefine how laborious it has been in the past to keep all of your iDevices well synced without too much hassle.
