Google’s forthcoming netbook has been making waves recently as they announced it will be available for order on June 15th. There will be a couple models initially available one produced by Samsung and another produced by Acer.
The Samsung model features a 12.1″ (1280×800) screen and weighs in at 3.26lbs, while the Acer model features an 11.6″ widescreen LED backlit LCD weighs in at 3.19lbs. Both options are packed with an Intel® AtomTM Dual-Core Processor – a nice little processor that will meet the needs of most casual and even the more serious users. Both models are beautiful devices – thin and aesthetically pleasing, and have enough of a battery life to do more than just look pretty.
There have been concerns about the usability of the device where there is no connection available, as ChromeOS is built on the notion of The Cloud. However, we’re all anxious to see if this is really an issue. The devices are available for order on June 15th 2011 from vendors such as Amazon, and we expect some availability at local retails during the initial rush of consumers.
