Apple’s long awaited tablet, the iPad, is finally in stores and the question that everyone wants to know is: is it worth the steep price? Well, after having the opportunity to use this device myself I can see there are a lot of pros, but not too many cons. The first thing you notice when you first power on the iPad is the ultra sharp display combined with the large screen is great for reading online texts and eBooks. The typing feels very natural, but still isn’t as fluid as a physical keyboard, which is to be expected. Its also great to have that built in iPod in the device and if you have other Apple gadgets, an iPhone for example, you can sync all your information effortlessly.
Now, for the bad. The worst part about the iPad is the price, you could realistically get a decent laptop for the price of this device and have the same portability. Also, the relatively low storage capacity makes it a tight fit for some who have a lot of music, video, pictures, and apps. The last thing is that the huge bright screen does tend to suck down a lot of battery life, so use it wisely. All in all, the Apple iPad is a great device if you have the extra money to spend.
